Paul & Maartje Crone: Bali the island of the Gods

Our first time Bali ! We were welcomed by the staff, all very friendly people with lovely smiles. After entering the villa we were struck by the amazing view and the large pool. The villa obviously has been built with much respect to the beauty of the tropics… A large veranda gave us the feeling of living in the garden. At the long dining table we drank our first cocktail, slowly taking in the beauty of the place. The bedroom was beautiful. There’s a large en-suite bathroom. Taking a shower under the stars is a great experience. We stayed one week. Our stay at Villa Jeda was very relaxing. And we needed that. After lounging on the terrace we had the choice of staying at the villa and have a cook prepare our meals or visiting one of the many restaurants in the village (a two minute drive with the funky villa shuttle). Most of the restaurants serve mediocre food. The food from our own kitchen was better, so we usually stayed at the villa. Laundry was taken care of. Within one day the clothes come back washed and ironed. Breakfast is served in the morning. Eggs, orange juice, toast, fresh fruit. yoghurt, anything you want… A boat trip to the reefs was memorable. We had never seen a more beautiful natural aquarium: beautiful fishes, coral reefs… The dive instructors were friendly and helpful. Balinese people are super ! It was a great experience in all. If you love luxury, nature and genuine people choose Bali. Bali is for sure ‘the island of the gods’. Jeda staff: Terimah Kasi.
